This year, CEDOC celebrated Rare Disease Day (February 29) in a special way.
CEDOC-NMS signed a cooperation agreement with Raríssimas - Associação Nacional de Deficiências Mentais e Raras. The main purpose of this agreement is to establish a scientific and educational partnership between both institutions.
As a consequence, CEDOC and Raríssimas will share synergies in order to not only to improve the health care and life quality of the patients with rare diseases and their life quality, but also to disseminate and share knowledge on this regard.
Moreover, in partnership with with CEDOC, INSA and ICS/UCO, Raríssimas created the Rare Diseases Research Consortium.
The cerimony took place at Casa dos Marcos with the presence of the Minister of Health, the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security and the Minister of Education, Adalberto Campos Fernandes, José António Vieira da Silva and Tiago Brandão Rodrigues, respectively.
