CEDOC's Joint Effort with IGC and ITQB leads to breakthrough in prediction of SARS-CoV-2 mutations

A joint effort between 3 Portuguese institutes from COLife alliance - led by Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência in collaboration with ITQB NOVA and CEDOC from NOVA Medical School - warns of 2 mutations in SARSCoV2 spike protein that could elude the immune system.

Our own Helena Soares from the Human Immunology and Pathogenesis lab says this research "contributes to be able to predict the immuneresponse; in particular in the production of antibodies, both from patients and vaccinated people, as a response to the new COVID19 variants".
