The 1st Annual Meeting of iNOVA4Health took place on June 18 at NOVA Rectorate.
During this day researchers had the opportunity to present their projects in both oral presentations and poster sessions. Approximately 1 year after the starting point 23 projects focusing on the healthcare area are being developed by a group of 140 scientists and healthcare experts.
Duarte Barral, from Membrane Traffic in Infection and Disease Lab, won the Best Presentation distinction with a project entitled "Molecular mechanisms of cell migration and invasion: developing a new strategy to impair tumor progression". This project results from a collaboration between Duarte Barral, Cristina Casalou, Jacinta Serpa and Ana Félix. Congratulations!
Together with CEDOD, iNOVA4Heath - Programme in Translational Medicine includes iBET, IPOLFG and ITQB in a major partnership. iNOVA4Health's mission is the pursuit of excellence in basic, developmental, preclinical & clinical research, through international cooperation. The biggest CEDOC contribution, within iNOVA4Health, is to bring in most of the medical basic research.
